Drake speaks on Wayne Jab

Get More: Music News

This whole beef is stupid.. Birdman is rich but stupid.. This all started because Birdman said Wayne has more money than Jay-Z.. Nobody in their right mind believes such ignorance.. When Brian Williams says such foolish things it makes me wonder how the hell he got so rich himself.. He obviously doesn't think before he talks..

This is my favorite Jay-Z diss on Wayne.. simply epic

Phonte-Not Here Anymore (feat. Elzhi and Produced By 9th Wonder)

Phonte is a beast. Elzhi is a beast. 9th Wonder too. You know this song is gonna rule. Check it out.

Nas-I Am...The Autobiography (Original Version)

A lot of us know the story behind Nas's 3rd album "I Am." This is for those that don't.

Basically, "I Am..." was supposed to be titled "I Am...The Autobiography" and released as a double disc album. Unfortunately Nas caught an L when part of his album leaked and he was forced to redo some of the album before the release date. This of course ended up as the retail version of "I Am..." which in my opinion wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't up to par with his other releases. I was curious about how the actual original album would have sounded so I started searching for it. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find much information on it. Just a bunch of track listings that were labeled as "the closest we may ever get to the true track listing." All of these track listings were the same so I figured I would make a playlist that had the songs sequenced just like the track list I had found online and give it a listen. The end result is definitely different.

The first disc is rather strong and seems to be a believable sequencing of the songs. Then second disc? Not so much. Mostly because there's a few tracks from Nastradamus when numerous sources have said the only song from the original session that went onto Nastradamus was "Project Windows." After listening to both "discs" I can say that if that is the official track list, its not an unreleased CLASSIC but it is a damn good album and its a shame that bootlegging kept it from being released in it original format.

Although its not a CLASSIC, there are a lot of classic songs on here. "Fetus" is an amazing song rapped from the perspective of Nas in his mothers stomach. "Poppa Was A Player" is a cool song about the way is pops was. Yes, I know most of these songs are available on I Am, Nastradamus, and Lost Tapes BUT hearing them on an album together gives them a different feel and in some cases makes songs sound even better. Here's the track listing I've found all over the internet. Let us know what you think about this version AND if anyone has more information on the actual track listing, let me know.

Disc 1

1. Fetus (Belly Button Window)
2. NY State Of Mind Pt. II
3. Life Is What You Make It
4. Small World
5. Hardest Thing To Do Is Stay Alive
6. Poppa Was a Playa
7. Nas Is Like
8. Blaze A 50
9. Favor For A Favor
10. We Will Survive
11. Some Of Us Have Angels
12. Project Windows
13. Day Dreaming, Stay Scheming
14. Sometimes I Wonder
15. Undying Love

Disc 2

1. After Life (Intro)
2. Amongst Kings
3. Life We Chose
4. Drunk By Myself
5. Pray
6. God Love Us
7. Ghetto Prisoners
8. Last Words
9. Family
10. Come Get Me
11. Find Your Wealth
12. U Gotta Love It
13. Wanna Play Rough
14. The Rise And Fall
15. My Worst Enemy

My thoughts on Steve Jobs and Apple

By now you all know my admiration of what Steve Jobs has accomplished in his time at Apple. However, it could be argued that he has been too visible as a CEO.. Hear me out here.. I think that Apple as far as public perception will hurt because Steve Jobs has been in the forefront of the company and has there has been a direct correlation between his reign as CEO and the company's success.. When you think of most company's CEO's, no matter how big, they aren't as visible as Steve Jobs.. The only one I can think of was Dave Thomas the former CEO of Wendy's.. This man was on all the commercials and was on their advertisements so when he passed on the company went through an identity crisis.. Maybe I'm looking too deep into it but I def think it's a possibility.. I predict the stock to drop a little until the announcement about the iPhone to Sprint is made..

Most importantly Steve Jobs will be remembered as a legend, a pioneer, and a visionary for his work at apple

Steve Jobs Resigns, Who Will Watch The Throne....

At age 56, this high-tech mogul has decided to pass on the torch of one of the most profitable and well admired companies on the planet.

Apple has officially named Tim Cook as CEO.

Jobs leaves us with a touching letter and honest words and a lasting legacy:

"I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.

I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.
As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.

I believe Apple's brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.

I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you."

Fall Fashion List: 4. Grunge is Back

Grunge, commonly known as the popular genre of rock popularized by Nirvana in the late 80's and early 90's is also known as a style. Some of you may be happy its coming back and some of you may be cringing at the thought.
plaid, stripes, combat boots and band tee? Check!

Many attribute the fashion to lead singer and guitarist of Nirvana, Kurt Cobain for the surge of "grunge" fashion during this time.

Take notes, ladies and gents!

Music Video: Curren$y - Address (feat. Stalley) from Duffy Rap on Vimeo.

A little over a year ago, Pilot Talk 1 dropped and one of my favorite tracks on it was "Address" and I still bump it today.

This is what some people call "Gateway Curren$y", all it takes is one song, for me it was "Breakfast" but hey don't take my word for it

"Ain't nuthin' changed but the address"
so take a listen.

Check of Big Rizz's post on Curren$ys latest drop

NBA 2K12 Trailer

What I feel is the best sports game available today (yes even better then madden and fifa), will be getting an upgrade this year, NBA season or not. The guys at 2K sports just keep giving us what we want, by implenting such new features as this new legends mode which will feature many of the classic teams we here at JMHO grew up watching and loving. I cannot wait to pit Starks and the 94 Knicks against the 01-02 Sac-town Kings. Pre-Order a copy now, this might be the NBA we will see this year unfortunately.

Curren$y: Verde Terrace

Yeaaaa you already know its quality. You don't need a paragraph from me to tell you. Just download it, roll or pour something up, and escape for a minute. I said it on twitter and I'll repeat it, Spitta is the best in the game right now not named Aubrey.

Bill Clinton

I think I am truly in the minority here but I think Nutritionists = Doctors.. I really believe if we ate healthier and worked out we as American's would be exponentially healthier.. I really commend Bill Clinton for changing his eating habits at such a late age.. It's so easy to change your habits when your young but for older people it becomes much much harder.. Some might say "oh he had heart problems, that's why he changed!" I agree but I know plenty of people that get lung cancer and still smoke, or that hustle weight and spend years in jail and go right back to it.. People don't always learn from their mistakes no matter how severe.. I'm no where near turning into a Vegan but I am trying to change my eating habits so that I won't be paying doctors thousands of dollars in the future.. Im trying to keep my health in my own hands

Here's a clip of former President Clinton on CNN talking about becoming a Vegan

Nike Zoom Rookie LWP

Here's another hybrid foamposite from the Penny line.. I haven't been putting up a lot of shoe posts lately and that's because nothing has really caught my eye.. I'm not just gonna post the newest releases just to do it.. I'm only posting the one's that I'm considering buying.. And the Nike Zoom Rookie LWP fits in the "might buy" category.. These aren't must haves by any stretch but they are a necessity in any foam heads collection.. They've announced quite a few colorways of these but the Royal Blue is the one that tickles my fancy.. What do y'all think?

Bossumentary

Let me get this clear- I am a Rick Ross fan. I think his beat selection is one of the best in the game. With that said these Biggie comparisons need to stop. Rozay is not even close to the lyrical rapper biggie was. Even today with Ross having 10+ years of industry growth he can't touch the lyrical content Big had. I can't stand when people compare other people to legends unjustly. Could Rozay become the next BIG? Possibly? I'm not going to write him off. But, as of now the comparisons need to stop (had to say it a 2nd time)

However, I am really looking forward to this documentary and the release of "God Forgives I Don't"

iPad 3 (more rumors)

I know this isn't the rumor many of you have been hoping for.. and as soon as we find out something about the iPhone 5 you can be assured we will have many a post on here.. Until we get that info the that we're all waiting for the WSJ wrote an article to quell to our obsession.. Here is the latest information regarding theiPad 3

How to Make it in America Season 2 (trailer #2)

I was holding up on posting this because the quality is so damn awful.. This show has been dubbed the next Entourage by some.. I can see the similarities but I would consider this show much more Urban.. LA is so flashy compared to where the premiere season How to make it in America was set.. I'm really excited to see these friends on their rise to the top.. Season two starts October 2nd

PINK NFL Collection

Victoria's Secret PINK literally has THE cutest NFL collection this year. My team (THE Redskins) has been doing work in preseason, hopefully it will carry over to the actual season so I won't feel guilty about spending so much money! The following outfits go from my favorite team to my LEAST favorite team ;)

Happy shopping, ladies!

Fall Fashion List: 3. The Bright Colored Jean

Okay people don't go overboard with this. You don't want to look like a 7th grade emo/rocker girl. This is a subtle way to bring color to drab fall outfits. I love the idea, I might go with a red.
Pac Sun, $39.50

Macy's, $98.00

Dwyer on Miami Football

I've listened to a lot of sports radio and read a lot of blogs about this Miami football scandal.. But, I must say this piece done by Dwyer is one of the best.. It's really simple: most corruption has money behind it.. I'm not saying anything profound here but it is especially true in this scenario. . Many people are calling for the death penalty for Miami.. The death penalty essentially kills your program for 20 years by removing TV rights, scholarships, bowl bans, and much more.. Dwyer argues that there is NO WAY that Miami is getting the death penalty.. I somewhat agree with his premise.. Miami is one of THE anchors of the ACC conference.. They have a national fan base and without them on TV and the prestige of the program in the conference it will kill the ACC.. not to mention how are ESPN and other affiliates going to feel about airing ACC regular season games without Miami? I just don't see it happening unless they find just blatant indisputable evidence during this investigation.. I'm not saying this is right, but we do live in a capitalistic society where money rules all.. and giving Miami the death penalty will cost the NCAA, ABC, ESPN, ACC, and the city of Miami a lot of money

People may ask me to do my own podcast about this, and believe me it's coming.. I just don't want to do a podcast blasting these kids or the NCAA when I don't have any answers or solutions.. EVERYONE has been blasting someone in this story for the past two days.. That's just not how I want to do the podcast.. I'm going to come up with my idea, no matter how outlandish, of what I think the NCAA should do.. I will tell you that I do believe in paying players and I do believe in more strict penalties for all parties.. for more of my insight you will just have to wait untill another time my JMHOers

The Weeknd- Thursday

I've been hearing about this mixtape for a long time but it has finally arrived..All day I've been waiting to see if this album could get the pannies dropped as fast as the House of Ballons album did.. You will have to wait till the end of this weekend to hear about the results of this experiment..

Mac Miller- Frick Park Market (Official Video)

This kid might sell a million records when it's all said and done...remember where you heard it first. You can say whatever you want about Mac but when "Blue Slide Park" drops, it WILL sell and sell BIG, bootleg or no bootleg. Another single like this and Mac will be everywhere. Like I said love him or hate him he's here to stay, and you cannot deny that this track bangs, no matter how big a hater you are.

Live From L.A.

Two days after Westside 2 dropped me and Rizzle thought that this album could be the first MAJOR step on Dom's trek to stardom.. We all believe he has the talent but he just isn't getting the notoriety that his music deserves.. After reading that Peter Schwartz interview the other day I truly think it's time for Dom to go on a US tour.. He's one of my favorite artists I haven't seen perform live and I'd really love to change that this fall.. But here's DOM with his new interview series Live From LA

LeBron James China Tour

Y'all are really gonna hate me for this post lol.. By now you all know LeBron James is my favorite player, despite what might have happened in the Finals. I truly believe you can't judge a man's career at the age of 26. ITS LUDICROUS. We called Dirk a choke artist at 26 now the man is being called the best player in the leauge by a few fools, NO disrespect to Dirk though. But, I'll go more into this on my podcast to start the NBA season if there is one.

Lebron took his talents to China to promote his brand and the sport of basketball this past week. This is a great move for him because quite frankly China's where the money is at. A lot of people are talking about playing ball in Turkey but China's the gold mine. I really think the NBA season will be salvaged but it's only right to have your options open. Anyways here are a few Hi-Res pics of LBJ's trip to China. I'll try to limit it to 10. lol sorry for y'all with that stank ass network connections.

I didn't post as much I originally planned but you can check the rest of the pictures out rightCHEA

Chevys and SpaceShips

I think Stalley is one of those artist that has me excited for the future of this game. His style and beat selection are such a throwback. He makes classic and timeless music. I honestly can't say enough great things about him and his most recent mixtape "Lincoln Way Nights" which dropped in January. When thinking about my top 10 mixtapes of 2011 I will not forget LWN. I'm anticipating his Maybach Music release and I can only see him getting better. In 2012 Stalley will have a huge impact on the game, trust.

Here is another banger off LWN, Chevys & Spaceships

Lol don't you think it's funny how we always shorten up album names and mixtapes like LWN or WTT or R4? I just noticed that.. Not that I plan on changing it anytime soon.. Just thought it was worth a note

I won't lie, I pretty much sat on the internet with everyone else watching the timer count down until the this was released. Now it's here! Check it out.

Watch the Throne review

I listened to Watch the Throne once and it was OK. I cannot argue with the level of production or the megastars on there but lately I've been into that music where I can relate to the artist more. I don't know anyone that owns a jet nah mean? So the album came off a little exobritant to me.

Here are some articles that are definetly worth a read that explain the view point I hold better that I could:

"Originally intended as a 5-track EP by Jay-Z and his protegé turned superstar Kanye West Watch The Throne evolved into something much bigger than initially planned. The recording process, taking place across hotel rooms and studios in Hawaii, Australia, New York, France, England, Dubai and Los Angeles, resulted in numerous incarnations of the album which were scrapped or re-done due to creative differences. Being one of the only major albums of recent years to avoid an internet leak it was finally released on August 8th through Kanye West and Jay-Z's own labels Roc-A-Fella Records, Roc Nation, and Def Jam Recordings."

Song by song review by Ghostface Killa. #funny

Wealth and Hip Hop, Is it bad economic timing for 'Watch The Throne'?

What do you think, did they go overboard? Should they have stuck to a 5 track EP?

How to Tax the Rich

I have no political agenda. Let me repeat that one more time before someone comes to debate with me about class warfare...I have no political agenda just droppin' it as I see it.

What do most rich people have more of?
Money.
What do poorer people have more of?
Time.

What do rich people have less of?
Time.
What do poorer people have less of?
Time.

How can we intersect the two states of the t?

This article from the Wall Street Journal claims to have a solution.
Give the wealthy people what they want.

"The U.S. is broke. The hole is too big to plug with cost cutting or economic growth alone. Rich people have money. No one else does. Rich people have enough clout to block higher taxes on themselves, and they will."

"I can think of five benefits that the country could offer to the rich in return for higher taxes: time, gratitude, incentives, shared pain and power.

Time. It's useful to keep in mind how the rich are different. When you are poor, you are willing to trade your time to earn money. When you are rich, you trade your money to get more time. For example, the rich hire people to clean their homes, and they don't waste time shopping for bargains-"

Gratitude. Imagine that the government arranges to provide genuine person-to-person gratitude to the rich in exchange for higher tax rates-"

"Incentives. Another approach, also a bad idea, might be to treat the rich more like venture capitalists than sources of free money. Suppose the tax code is redesigned so that the rich only pay taxes to fund social services, such as health care and social security. This gives the rich an incentive to find ways to reduce the need for those services, which would in turn keep their taxes under control. Perhaps you'd see an explosion of private investment in technologies that make it less expensive to provide health care. You might see rapid advances in bringing down the cost of housing for seniors.

Meanwhile, the middle class would be in charge of funding the military. That feels right. The country generally doesn't go to war unless the middle-class majority is on board. "

"Shared Pain. Happiness is a relative thing. That's how humans are wired. And we're just screwed up enough to feel comfort when our pain is shared. So how can we make the overtaxed rich feel as if the rest of society is feeling a little extra pain"

"Power. Everyone loves power. I'm guessing that the rich like it more than most people, on average. Another bad idea is to give the rich two votes apiece in any election. That's double the power of other citizens. But don't worry that it will distort election results. There aren't that many rich people, and they are somewhat divided in their opinions, just like the rest of the world. And realistically, is the candidate who gets 51% of the vote always better than the one who gets only 49%? That's a risk I'll take."
-Mark Adams, the creator of "Dilbert.

Speaking of the Rich.
Mark Cuban has some blog entries from 2004 called Success and Motivation about his rags to riches story that's pretty inspiring. You best be on your grind and have at least a little bread because in the future unless we have a actual fight between rich and poor. The rich will definitely have more of a grip on the world than they do know...

Baby Preacher

I don't know how I feel about this.. People that know me know that I am not the most religious person but I am extremely faithful.. I am trying to work on walking closer in my faith every day, but that's another story.. I don't like to criticize anyone that loves the lord so I'm going to pick my words carefully.. To stand in the pulpit you should have studied your religion of choice's text.. This kid can't even read! I don't know if it's a joke or not but the family is certainly making this seem legit.. I have given plenty of testimonals and confessing things in front of the church is fine.. but to let this baby preach is a little much..You can't even understand 1/2 of what this kid is yelling..

Maybe I need to see this video with a more lighthearted view.. I'll let y'all be the judge for yourself.. I can't lie though when he started jumping up like he was stomping on some roaches I literally LOL'd

Peter Schwartz Interview

Shoutout to HIPHOPDX for thisinterviewwith Peter Schwartz, who is the booking agent for Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller.. He talks about the two artists work ethic and their rise to stardom.. I think it is very important that up and coming artist read this and understand the keys to success as indie artists.. Too many artists just want to make that "hit" or that "single".. I'm a firm believer of just making good music and the hit will come with time..Peter states that one thing that these two artist did differently was going on non-stop US tours.. By being willing to perform for all size crowds in every state it helped them get their movement all over America.. Now these two are some of the biggest artist in the game at least from a selling/marketability standpoint..

Def worth the read

Kendrick Lamar Speaks on J.Cole Collab Album

The J.Cole and Kendrick Lamar album could be something that would literally shock the industry. These two are arguably the most socially conscious rappers of the new school.. Anyone that's heard Friday Night Lights or Section .80 knows exactly what I'm talking about.. I hope these two could go on a world tour after the album drops just like the "throne" tour coming up.. I'm sort of rambling on about ideas that I'd like to see happen.. but, that's just the fan in me! Here's to hoping these to MC's can make that happen

UNMASKED: Kendrick Lamar (TheMaskedGorilla.com Video Interview) from MASKED // GORILLA on Vimeo.

THE ELEVEN ONE ELEVEN THEORY

Wale is one of my favorite rappers.. When I heard 100 miles and running I thought it was one of the best combos of smooth beats/lyricism that I've ever heard from a mixtape.. His style was just so different from any other rapper.. It's almost like he was spitting poetry.. the problem with poets who try to rap is their delivery is off but Wale didn't have that problem.. Many people might scoff at the poetry example but take a listen to Ambitious Girl pt 1 and tell me the dude doesn't have skills..

Ever since he joined MMG I have been a huge supporter.. I just feel like he is getting away from what made Wale, Wale. I understand having a few club records and I have liked damn near all of them he has put out.. But with this mixtape I want to see a little more of the vintage Wale.. I made a statement in "The Throne" podcast how people change and we should expect it, and that we should stop thinking rappers are going to backtrack when their lives have changed so much.. However, when Wale was on Interscope, was always complaining about how they would never let him put the conscious records and records he liked on the album.. In fact one of the reasons he went to MMG was to have creative control.. I have yet to see too much of that since the label switch

In closing, I will always support Wale's music.. He is the voice of the area where I reside.. and he's given me a ton of free and classic music in the past.. I am just a little skeptical about this debut MMG release.. Isn't it funny the bigger the fan you are it's the more you worry about how the album is going to sound.. I know the homie Rizzle were talking about it with Coles dubut.. BUT WITHOUT FURTHER ADIEU

UPDATE: After listening only once this mixtape deserves a podcast for all my thoughts.. expect that in a few days

The Slow Stripping of Constitutional Rights of the American Citizen

Today I read an article that read

"San Francisco Subway Shutsdown Cell Service to Foil Protest"

"For apparently the first time in the United States, a government agency shuttered mobile-internet and phone service in a bid to quash a demonstration — the same type of speech suppression exercised by Middle Eastern tyrannies to quell dissent."

Is this becoming a common trend, first the greatest heist of wealth in history during the US bailouts now the cutting off of communication services and movement twoards a police state mentality as shown in Philly. What comes next may be shocking so all you can do is pay attention.

$250 PS3

Sony just wrapped its Gamescom 2011 keynote with this juicy nugget: base PlayStation 3 models will run you just $250 in the US, €250 in Europe, and ¥24,980 in Japan. Announced at the same show two years ago with a $300 price tag, the base PS3 Slim model includes a 160GB hard drive. A lower price will provide a nice cushion for that $299 Call of Duty: Black Ops bundle, which just hit stores earlier this summer. Meanwhile, the 320GB model will see a $50 drop as well, with new pricing for both models kicking in immediately in the US and Europe, and August 18th in Japan. Sony also lifted the curtain on a €99 (about $140) budget PSP model, which adds a slick new design while dropping WiFi functionality. Because, really, who needs their handheld console to connect to the web? All that internet gaming stuff was so 2011.

I am not sure this is the true splash Sony wanted at Gamescom.. $50 dollars doesn't seem like enough of a drop to see a significant boost in sales.. I'm not sure though because I bought one of these thins when they were $600 for a 60GB back in 06' so I'm not saying this because I don't think it's worth it.. But, for people that don't have the system they need more of an incentive to go out and purchase the system.. What do y'all XBOX and Wii fans think? Is this price drop enough for you to go out and buy the PS3?

Chupacabra

In PG county MD a Chupacabra was found!

The homie DJ Occur told me about this mythical creature back when we were in college.. I thought it was a blatant hoax.. most the videos I have seen in my search, albeit miniscule, I have not seen as good of evidence as the video above. I thought this animals were only in the desert regions? But, I guess they migrated to the "DMV".

KNEDRICK LAMAR (OC)

NO I didn't mean to put OD for overly dedicated, I meant OC for original content. The JMHO crew went to go see Kendrick live and I must say he did not disappoint. This concert was truly legendary and goes up there with the best shows I've seen this year. Truly epic performance and the crowd/atmosphere made everything that much more better. lol that much more? I think that's right.. Y'all get the picture now check out the videos below

#Classic

J. Cole - Workout

Cole talked about this video on his "Any Given Sunday" series yesterday.. If y'all haven't seen it, Cole played some beats/songs that didn't make the album.. The first song he plays, if any indication of how good the album will be, means we have a classic on our hands. But below is the video for the official first single "Work Out". I was a little skeptical at first but the song has really worn on me the more I've listened to it.

Dennis Rodman HOF

This is NO WHERE near as good as the Dion Sanders or Shannon Sharpe but this has some quality moments. You can really tell Dennis' love for the game in this speech. He even admits that his whole persona is somewhat of an "illusion". It's just more proof that we as fans and spectators should NEVER judge someone for what they "seem" like. You heard it from Primetime earlier that his image was a facade as well. I just think players do what they go to do to hype themselves up or sell some jerseys. Either way Dennis was a phenomenal rebounder, though I think this honor was premature, he def. deserved his induction into the HOF.

Steve Jobs Biography to be Released

Steve Jobs is unquestionably one of the biggest visionaries of our time. He took a company that was on the verge of bankruptcy to one of the most respected and profitable companies in the world in some short years. The thing that gets me most about Steve Jobs is his apparel. Here is a man that has billions of dollars and what does he wear? A black tee and some Levis! He is a really interesting man and I hope this biography digs deep into the mind of this living legend.

Here is a brief synopsis of what we can expect to read in this biography..

Based on more than forty interviews with Jobs conducted over two years as well as interviews with more than a hundred family members, friends, adversaries, competitors, and colleagues this book chronicles the rollercoaster life and searingly intense personality of a creative entrepreneur whose passion for perfection and ferocious drive revolutionized six industries: personal computers, animated movies, music, phones, tablet computing, and digital publishing. It is also a book about innovation. At a time when America is seeking ways to sustain its innovative edge, and when societies around the world are trying to build digital-age economies, Jobs stands as the ultimate icon of inventiveness and applied imagination. He knew that the best way to create value in the 21st century was to connect creativity with technology, so he built a company where leaps of the imagination were combined with remarkable feats of engineering. Although Jobs cooperated with this book, he asked for no control over what was written nor even the right to read it before it was published. He put nothing off limits and instead encouraged the people he knew to speak honestly even foes, former girlfriends, and colleagues he had once fired or infuriated. “I’ve done a lot of things I’m not proud of, such as getting my girlfriend pregnant when I was 23 and the way I handled that,” he said. “But I don’t have any skeletons in my closet that can’t be allowed out.” Jobs speaks candidly, sometimes brutally so, about the people he worked with and competed against. Likewise, his friends, foes, and colleagues provide an unvarnished view of the passions, perfectionism, obsessions, artistry, devilry, and compulsion for control that shaped his approach to business and the innovative products that resulted. He was not a model boss or human being, tidily packaged for emulation. Driven by demons, he could drive those around him to fury and despair. But his personality and products were interrelated, just as Apple’s hardware and software tended to be, as if part of an integrated system. His tale is thus both instructive and cautionary, filled with lessons about innovation, character, leadership, and values.

Game-The R.E.D. Album

Just listened to Game's new album thanks to the world wide web (its not out yet). Ill be honest I'm not a huge fan of the way he carries himself as a person but this album is pretty damn good. The production, the flows, the lyrics, and the guests were on point for most of the album. I have no problem advising yall to check it out when it gets released next week.

You & I

This video wasn't supposed to be released until the 18th, and I'm sure it will be taken down soon because they were taken down on youtube. But watch GaGa's new video for You & I here!

I think this is a great video for one of my favorite songs on the Born This Way album. You get to see her as a man and a mermaid so it can't get more GaGa than that. Enjoy!

Livin De Life

Get ready, buckle your seat belts to see a true thug in action. This is Livin De Life by A. Samuels.

Okay now if you've watched it you know I was being sarcastic. LOL this is hilarious, this man is being called the old and male version of Rebecca Black. Some of his lines are legit though. Enjoy!

Royce Da 5'9-Success Is Certain

I know. I know. Everyone is still going apeshit over Watch The Throne (shit Ive listened to it at least 20 times now) and honestly thats all I was going to listen to until I found out Royce dropped his "Success Is Certain" album today. After giving it 2 listen so far, I've gotta say this shit is DOPE!

I can honestly say that I don't dislike a single track on this album. Obviously some are stronger than others. Songs like "Legendary", "Writers Block (feat Eminem)", "Security" and "Merry Go Round" and a few others are fucking superb. "Legendary" is such an awesome way to open the album and "Merry Go Round" features some personal lyrics from Royce. The rest of the tracks are impressive as hell though. "Second Place" is a DJ Premier banger. Whats wild about it is right as the beat starts to get dull, Primo puts in a well timed sample or scratch to keep things fresh. "My Own Planet" features Joe Budden and a catchy beat and hook. "Ive Been Up Ive Been Down" is a great way to end the album.

I honestly haven't checked for much from Royce after his great "Death Is Certain" album. I'm glad I checked this album out though. The lyrics, the beats, and the hooks are all dope. This album made me a fan of Royce again. Well done.

Millionares Don't pay Taxes

I don't talk about politics on this blog but I damn sure will highlight any blatant enequalities..

Southern California has more millionaires than just about anywhere else in the nation, with L.A. coming in at No. 1, Orange County at No. 4, and San Diego ranking No. 6 in cities with the most seven-figure-plus households in 2008.

So maybe we should feel a little guilty, especially as President Obama and the GOP are headed toward draconian federal cuts, the United States' credit rating is down a notch, and the stock market is diving like a conservative congressman in a bathroom stall.

Because many millionaires and billionaires, it was revealed today, don't pay taxes like you and me:

In fact, many don't pay taxes at all. Now, those familiar with the Mack-truck sized loopholes written into the tax code (example: the wealthy who make their money off capital gains only pay a 15 percent tax rate, if that) shouldn't be surprised.

According to a recently released IRS report (PDF), 1,470 millionaires and billionaires paid zero taxes in 2009.

The report states that donations to charity, investment in government bonds, and taking cash from overseas operations has resulted in a legit, $0-tax bill for these high rollers.

Of course, some Democrats in congress have been trying to eliminate tax loopholes and discounts as part of the debt ceiling debate. But while Republicans are gung-ho to cut federal largess in the name of a solvent Republic, they've been quick to protect those who live largest.

In fact, as we recently told you, the 400 richest earners across the land pay a 17 percent tax rate (yours is more like 35 percent).

If you're not pissed off yet, read David Cay Johnston's "9 Things The Rich Don't Want You To Know About Taxes."

Watch the Throne initial impressions podcast

Watch The Throne initial reaction

I cant do a review of this album within 12 hours of listening to it. I can however quickly tell you what my initial reaction is.

Ive listened to the album about 4 times now. I listened to it in the car at night and during the day. I also listened to it twice at home during night and day. There are definitely some highs and lows on this album. The production was pretty solid throughout and I actually enjoyed some of the things they tried on it. The breakdowns and beat changes were pretty awesome. Lyrically Kanye didn't impress me too much. I enjoyed Jay's verses much more. The album definitely bangs in the car though. I was nodding my head a lot more while in the car compared to listening to it at home.

Based on my initial reaction, I think if you have an open mind you'll enjoy this album. If you're expecting Reasonable Doubt/Blueprint Jay or College Dropout/Late Registration Kanye, you'll be disappointed. Hell, if youre expecting straight hip-hop youll probably be disappointed. Id consider this mostly hip-pop more than anything else but its still entertaining as hell.
